Film Trailer Sequence

The basic plot of the movie is a man and woman fall in love, they have a short while together and then the man has to go away to fight in the war. The woman writes to the man every day for a year with no reply. She eventually presumes that he has either died or does not want to write to her. The man is injured in the war, and while in hospital he is able to receive all of the letters she has sent. The man is close to tears when he reads the letters and decides to desert the war effort and return to the woman. When they are reunited they are so happy, but the army officials have to come and get him again because he was not allowed to leave the war. After 3 years of writing to each other they are finally reunited and they all live happily ever after.

1. The first shot is of a woman walking carrying lots of books. With the song ‘Cosmic Love’ by ‘Florence and the machine’ playing in the background. (2)

2. Shot of man walking looking at his watch. (1)

3. The two walk into each other and the woman’s books fall on the floor, they both bend down to pick them up and their eyes meet.(4)

4. Close up of woman’s face as she looks into the man’s eyes, a smile comes across her face. (2)

5. Close up of man’s face who is also smiling looking into the woman’s eyes.(2)

16. A Nurse comes over and hands him 3 piles of letters.(1)

17. Reaction shot of man who looks up to the nurse and slightly opens mouth in shock (2)

18. Shot of woman opening door as if to the camera (1)

19. Shot of man at the door of the woman. Holding a bunch of flowers. (1)

As you can see i have focussed alot on the emotions coming through in the film trailer, as this is something that i feel will appeal to my target audience.
