Comparison of the magazine covers seen below:
1. In all of the Front Sheets the colour of the mastehead is repeated in both the text and it is also seen in the image on this page.
2. There is never more than three colours used in the text, and all of these are found in the picture itself.
3. The actor/actress of the film title, is always the biggest text on the cover, or if none of these are, it will be the name of the article relating to the picture on the front.
4. The bar code is usually on the bottom right hand corner of the page.
5. The bar code can also be seen rarely on the bottom left hand side or on the right hand side of the page.
6. They are generally all priced at around 3.50, in whatever currency they are brought in (or the equivilent)
7. The main image on the page can either go infront or behind the masthead, however the image will reach the masthead in all cases.
8. Mnay of these magazines have a banner at the top of the pageadvertising various aspects of the magazine. This will be used to attract their target audience's attention, as this section of the magazine will be seen on any magazine stand in a shop.
9. The banner at the top of the page, if there is one, will not contain information about the film that is featured in the image, or the main title on the cover. 5/7 have this.
10. 5/7 of the covers have a plain background. 2 have edited background. My magazine cover will not need an edited background. A plain white background would look much better for the type of film I would be creating, this will then also match the movie poster that I am creating, allowing the audience's image of this to be confirmed if they have seen these. Also by having a white background in my image I will be able to easily change the colour of the background if I decide that another colour would be more suitable.
